Finding Peace, Strength and Friendship

by Y on January 24, 2010

As most everyone who frequents this network knows, I started this site in 2007 during one of my darkest and loneliest times. At that point, I had already been dealing with hair loss for 8 years, but things had taken a drastic downward turn and down I fell into the hole of isolation.

That was then.

Since that time I have had the chance to interact with so many women that have touched my life in such profound ways. I have discovered just how strong women really are, and I have learned so much.

By being able to unite women with hair loss, and helping them to find support and understanding, I have found just that for myself… understanding and support, and I no longer feel alone.  I have met a few women from the network, in California and New York, and each time it has been a truly wonderful and amazing experience.

I just wanted to say Thank You to Everyone. Thank you for helping me to find some inner peace, a strength I never thought existed, and friendship that is pure and true.

You have changed my life.

It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life.. and I’m feeling good

I’d like to say “right back at’cha babe!” for all your hard work and dedication to all of us. Without the love you constantly pour out to us this would not be such a stellar site. You are truly amazing and awe-inspiring; beautiful…simply divine!

Thank you so much Angela!! Thank you for being YOU, and always being there for me and everyone else in this network. I often reflect upon how much you where instrumental in helping to change the lives of women on the site. You put yourself out there and made it “okay” to be a woman with a shaved head. Bald and Beautiful all the way! That’s you. Several women in the network found that strength because they saw your picture and thought “OMG she looks so damm good, I can do that, it IS ok”

You provided me with that extra option I didn’t even know existed. Euerka! When I’m sick of dealing with this mess or my hair decides to totally abandon me… I could also shave my head and live my life.

Is it trite to just say “ditto”? Thank you!

You are so welcome. I know this site has made a difference in my life; a safe place for understanding and support. I’m sure the THOUSANDS of women who come to this site feel the same way! Thanks to you for bringing us together.

When my hair was at it’s thinnest, I felt I was dying. Life was really bad!
