Like I emailed you earlier – I am so thankful for you and this site and all the women on it.
This was my first Thanksgiving in wig and I never thought I would utter those words. This year will be the first Christmas too, I deleted all the photos of me the last couple of years – gotta love digital! How sad, I was at my Uncle’s funeral this past week and my sister put together a slide show – all the phots made me smile, they showed some of my loved ones already passed and a lot of family good times. How tragic I deleted mine 🙁
I suffered for so long, I would say you can’t even imagine but I know that you and us women here know. It is just so deep, I feel like no one can imagine – which again you all know. (That was my version of me chasing my tail 🙂
I really am starting to accept this as my new normal and embracing me – inside and out. I have gained confidence and self esteem back and a whole lot of HL friends, screw the hair loss, just friends 🙂
God Bless you all, thank you all and you already know how I feel about you Y.
You guys gave me my life back (great, now I’m teary)
Suppose I should of typed this before getting into the red 😉

Worrying about the way we all feel today because you were there before. I think you almost started crying near the end. It’s so raw the emotion we have and nobody understands it unless they have lived it. I had Thanksgiving a month ago in Canada and this first year with a wig is a bunch of first times. First Thanksgiving, first Christmas, first time out with friends. It’s life-changing but it’s like giving yourself permission to start to be happy again.
