I have only told a few people. My mom, my estitician friend & 3 others (one who asked outright if I was wearing hair)
You kind of get a sense who you can trust with the knowledge. My policy is that if someone asks, I tell.
When I first started noticing my issue and then as I dealt with it (7 stages of grief, etc) through the years one of the things I wished for was honest, personal mentors willing to share their stories who I could learn from.
My journey began when I was 26 back in the early 90s and no women back then would admit to losing their hair. It was very isolating & scary for me. So now I hope to help others accept the challenge and live their best lives. Wearing hair can be fun and liberating. No one should be ashamed or think they are less beautiful because of their hair (or lack there of) ;-)
