I need a Toppers 101 course. I don't understand the basics. If you bond a topper over your bio hair, how do you wash the sweat, oil and smell that happens on your head off. I don't want to mell or feel greasy if a shower and soap can't penetrate through a hair piece. Also - I do swimming as a workout, too. How does that work?

If there is a smell and too hot, (I also live in the south with heat and humdity), should I not consider a bonded topper and just take off what I wear for workouts and showers?

such great info, Mallory. i'm a big worker-outer about to get my bonded piece for the first time...can't let anything stand (or stick or unstick!) in the way of my work outs. they've kept me (fairly) sane throughout the hair loss journey. thanks again. xo

Just so I am clear, is the system you are referring to a "topper" or a full piece? Thanks!

Mallory,
Thanks for the info! Just wondering - has your bonded topper been put up against working out in humidity or high heat? I'm not at a point yet where I want to bond, but it's a very real possibility for me in the future and I'm runner - during the summer months is when I run the most and longest distances. I also live in a humid climate. Any tips or experience with that? Or would it be no different than a long workout, like you described in your post? How long have you been bonding?
