Blonde Babbling! Your Eyes Do Not Deceive You, I’m Blonde!

by Y on October 4, 2012

Hi everyone, I did a car cam update yesterday whilst on my way to meet a friend from The WHLP for lunch. I’d like to say it was a short quick update, but I don’t know what it is with me and my babbling issues, once I start talking about my hair, I just can’t shut up. LOL. I find that the car is the easiest place to give updates, because I’m usually stuck in traffic doing nothing 🙂 Last Thursday I made a trip to Follea, and found myself a new beauty to bring home. She deserves a post dedicated to all her loveliness, so this will just be a little preview of my golden princess…. Tatiana. She’s been the star of my week, and all my other girls have been sitting on the bathroom counter darting dirty looks at her as she leaves the room each morning 🙂

In other news, I definitely think I’m going to have my hair stylist gal come over next week to cut more hair away from head. I wanted to do it before, but even more now after I saw the video because you can see my short hair behind my ears at times in the video and it’s more obvious with Tatiana than my other girls because of the stark color contrast. So adios to more of my follicles next week, they have trip to trash can ville in store for them. C’est la vie.

Surprise – it’s me!
May I say I love Tatiana, you rock every single one of your wigs! I definetly would look very pasty with blonde hair – so I just have to live vicariously through you 🙂
OK so I wasn’t doing a shot, but I was drinking wine – does that count? I can see the back of your bio hair – you did cut it short. So, you were nervous to get it cut and now you want it kind of tapered shaved at the bottom – well damn, did you ever think you’d want that! Amazing, how the big step has turned into a jog 🙂 I lalalalove it! I am so happy to hear and see you happy – you’ve really made a difference in your life and others lives, like me. Thank you.
So, lunch huh, did you see what I was going to do to you if I was there – haha. Please forgive me 🙂
Well, I was studying until my phone message lit up from none other than my Caped Crusader WHLP Leader and I did the only natural thing – grabbed a glass of wine and turned on the computer 🙂

Now, I really must get back to some Cost Volume Profit Analysis – zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Chat soon and big hug,
xxoo

Hi Lina!

I did see your message in the network, did you see mine? Which said “Lina, if I’m every in Ontario.. you’ll have to clear off a cat bed, because I’ll be plopped on there, throwing them back and having some laughs with you! Somehow I have the feeling the night would end with our wigs under some table and we’d be like “have you seen my wig?” LOL

I’m glad you played along with the spot the bio hair drinking game, ha ha. I saw the video and was like “sh*T, time for another hair cut.” I think perhaps this time I’ll tell my hair stylist gal, humm bring the clippers so we can shave down the back and behind the ears. It will be a very punk rock look. 🙂 Even though I still have hair on my head it’s sort of useless to me at this point, so I’m just going to get most of it out of the way.

Enjoy your cost volume profit analy…..zzzzzzz sis….zzzzzzzzzzz

XOXO

Well, honey, anytime you want to make that trip – you are more than welcome 🙂
You will love the back of your neck freedom – when I vacuum now – I turn the vacuum head over because my hair used to plug it and I would have to yank my hair out so it could still spin. Now I still flip it over and every time I do, I smile and say hah-hah!
Did I tell you I love your wigs – every stinking one of them! 🙂

Yeah this WHLP is killing my academics 😉
hey, I’ve been noticing a lot of new hair wearers who are loving their wigs, toppers, bonded pieces… Yay! I also notice a lot of heartbreaking struggles – man don’t we know what that is like. Whatever I can do to help any of these girls I will because that is what your sharing did for me – it pulled me out and up.
Thanks honey.

and now, pfff, more studying (wouldn’t take so long if I didn’t take so many breaks – this is all YOUR fault 🙂

Looking good Y! Blonde is agreeing with you. I think she is making you a little sassy!

Its funny because I will be doing the opposite. I had been blonde my whole life, but stopped coloring my hair earlier this year. After trying on a bunch of Follea colors, everyone liked me in 5030, the light brown. So it will be a change for me. That’s the neat thing about wigs. Its easy to try a new color!

Thanks for all the tips and trials of how you are wearing your bio hair. Your strategies give me ideas to use now and later. Tell Follea we need a frequent buyer discount! I’m already thinking about my next piece and I haven’t gotten my first one yet.

@Lina – Awww thanks girl! It is bizarre that I am very much looking forward to having my hair cut again. More off please! I’d like to get it done asap, as in today, but my hair stylist can only come on her off days, which is Monday and Wed, so I will have to hold off a little longer. I have also noticed a lot of new hair wearing gals in the network and it’s super duper fabulous, but then of course everyone is at a different place in this bumpy journey and there are so many many women who are in the throws of dealing with all the emotional devastation that hair loss/shedding does to us. It breaks my heart. You’re always an amazing support to all the gals!

@Electra – Thank you! Sassy Tatiana LOL — I am loving the blonde, big time. I have always wanted to be blonde, but before I could have a chance to dye my hair blonde, the sh*t started falling out, then of course I could have cared less about the color and just wanted it to stay in my head!

I saw the pics of your new Follea 5030 topper in the network and it’s GORGEOUS!! I can’t wait till you receive it, “Hair Mail.” The 5030 is really a perfect color, it’s a great blend of light brown and blonde. It’s a another blonde day for me today, I was going to wear one of my other girls and then opted for ms. goldie locks. Imagine that, I get a CHOICE in how my hair looks, Eureka! 🙂 They say tattoos are addictive.. I think wigs are addictive LOL

Love this – absolutely gorgeous and thank you for posting! How is it going with working out now that your hair is cut short? Have you found it to be okay working out in your wigs?

@Avery – So glad you liked it! I’m loving, and I mean LOVING my short hair, I’m excited chop more off. You know, my hair (or lack of it, and having it fall out) has been such a source of pain to me, that I’m almost giddy at chopping that sh*t off! For real. I even like how I look better sans wig, now that I cut it short, I wouldn’t go out in the world like that, it’s not how I feel comfortable in public, but for at home it is working out much better.

As far as “working out” in the exercise sense of the word, my butt can tell you it hasn’t had much movement lately, ha. It’s still a wall I have break through for sure. But I will 🙂 To be honest, I’m not still not 100% comfortable in exercising in a wig, I’m not sure if it’s a mental hurdle or what, but it’s a hurdle for sure. My fiancé says, well why not just pull on a baseball cap and go out like that to workout, and maybe in the end that will be my solution. I don’t know. I think it’s different for everyone and we have to find what works for us in working out.

Um, ok…can I just say it…you look AMAZING! And I love the name Tatiana – very regal for such a classy gal! 😉 I can totally see why all the other girls are jealous.

I wouldn’t have noticed the bio hair if you hadn’t mentioned it. It’s so weird to hear you talk about looking forward to cutting it off more. It shows how very far you’ve came!

Oh, and on Monday’s episode of The Doctors, they’re gonna be talking about a “new” breakthrough treatment in hair loss, which looked to me exactly like the PRP therapy you did. Maybe you could write another post about it, clarifying whether or not you think it helped? I’m sure there will be alot of Googling after the show airs.

Much wiggy love coming your way! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hi Angie – Thanks so much! and thank you for the heads up on segment that is on the Doctors today, I found the clip on their site:

and I posted my initial thoughts on the WHLP Facebook page a second ago:
http://tinyurl.com/9jlfarg

It is about PRP therapy which is great but I was pretty shocked they gave the doctor they featured there doing it, Dr. Neil Sadick, the credit for being the pioneer. Hummm… I don’t think that’s the case at all, at least that’s not my understanding of the history of PRP being using for hair loss.

I’ll definitely have to write a post about this and as you said give more of my thoughts on PRP, which I do still believe in despite the fact I now wear wigs full time.

Happy Monday everyone!

XOXO

I can’t see your bio hair barely at all!! It all blends amazingly well with the rooted color. I’m right there with you on the haircuts – thanks for going for it and inspiring me 🙂

You look super beautiful-this is my favorite yet and I’ve liked all of them. If it weren’t for the price I’d bond Follea straight to my head because they make beautiful hair.

Hi there! I just want to tell you how much you have helped me with your blog. My name is Wendy and I’ve always had thin hair but during the last few years have developed allopecia. I knew the end was near in terms of being able to wear hair extensions with my gradually growing bald spot situation. I would have never in a million years went out and bought a wig but I did just that a few months ago! After reading your blog word for word, I purchased the gripper sport and am very happy with it. Actually my hair with extensions NEVER looked this good. I bought the wi-grip like you mentioned, but still have some problems keeping the wig on entirely. This is probably my fault and I need to experiment more with methods to keep the darn sucker on. You mentioned that you do not feel comfortable wearing the wig while working out. I tried wearing mine only once when I was playing tennis and it was quite hot and bulky underneath my baseball cap. My solution was to buy the jessica simpson wrap around pony for the bargain price of $29.00 on Amazon. The R830 color is called Ginger Brown and is very similar in color to my Gripper color in 5030. This pony is light and very comfortable and just wraps around my very thin ponytail, disquising it and making a beautiful and secure ponytail. I just had to cut mine about 4″ to match the length of my follea. This fake ‘tail is very secure with the comb that attaches to my pathetic ponytail and a section of hair that wraps around for extra security. Just thought I’d throw that out there! Thanks again for all of your blogs apout allopecia. It’s good to know I’m not alone!
Peace,
Wendy
