How awesome is that? I have a sponsor who wishes to remain anonymous who is helping to support our cause by paying for some Yahoo sponsored listings. They are donating a few hundred dollars in ads to help spread the word about The Women’s Hair Loss Project. So I have to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I wasn’t sure before if this blog would help, or make a difference to anyone, but I know now how important it is.

WOW, that’s such great news…I’m also mentioning this website to other forums…I think people need a break from advertisments and a little “CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE HAIRLESS SOUL!”

Hey Julie!
Thanks so much for helping to spread the word about the site to other women. I am reminded about that movie “Field of Dreams,” where Kevin Costner hears the voice that says “If you build it they will come. ”
Just being exhausted from the existing sites out there for women, I wanted a place for women to share their stories or just read about my daily hair loss life and those of other women as well. It is as you say, “Chicken Soup For The Hairless Soul,” good name.

I hope this site never loses sight of its purpose. so many start off great and then people just inundate it with ads…ugh, that just leaves people in a confused state as some readers have mentioned. Chicken soup for the soul is a great book and maybe someday we can publish our stories in a book for women to pick up at the bookstore. That’s a nice goal to have…let’s keep it in mind!

Hey Julie -
I can totally understand your concerns about maintaining the focus and integrity of the site, I also cannot stand the hair loss sites that are just one commercial bazar after another. Like hair loss isn’t distressing enough as it is, they just add a little more confusion to the mix. But I can put your worries to rest, this site will always be as it is today. Just a community for women to share and learn from each other. As a hair loss sufferer of many years, I would never want to impose upon other women what I encountered myself when I first started losing my hair. I hope to save women the anguish I experienced jumping from one product to another. Trying various “new” hair loss remedies you see advertised online. They don’t work. Have you seen the latest news article about coffee beans growing Hair in women? It is a product being manufactured in the UK by a company called “Boots.” Humm??
Anyways back on topic, the site will never be inundated with ads, I really want to help women not confuse them… so rest assured
